Autism Awareness Month!

For Autism Awareness Month I thought I would share with yall a friend's story.

"When I was four years old, I was diagnosed with Aspergers on the Autism spectrum. When I learned about this at age 11, it changed my life completely. I may not look like you, talk like you, or (God forbid) think like you, but I am still human. So as we go through the National Autism Awareness month of April, I want everyone to know that we "aliens", as I've heard the term used before, are as much a part of society as you are. We also have goals and dreams we hope to one day accomplish."

As yall may know , many people have some kind of disorder on the Autism Spectrum and they live day to day being teased or made fun of because they might have random outbursts or just plain ugly. To me, kids all of ages are normal; I can say that because I have a sister with Asperger syndrome. All though I may not like how she behaves and her attitudes sometimes, I still love her as a sister and I will always love her.

I want yall to remember not to make fun of these beautiful children and all ages who might have this disorder. Next time, think about how amazing these people are and how creative they can be.
I witnessed alot of paintings that are really good done by children and others who have this and it's just amazing. They think the same as you and me but they think so much bigger and brighter.

Think about this the next time you want to insult people with disabilities.
